Firefox: Content Encoding Error. What’s Up?!!

Firefox Content Encoding Error

Since sometime (after I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1), I often encounter this weird Content Encoding Error. This happens especially on YouTube and some other blog sites for me. And I think it is most likely a bug in Firefox.

The whole error message looks like this:

Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

The funny thing about this error is that, if you refresh the page enough the problem sorts itself out. So I think instead of contacting the website owners, we should be contacting the Firefox developers instead.

Please fix this Content Encoding Error error. Yes, it an error which is an error!

Update 17th July 2011: I am switching to Chrome.
